Good evening. I had a question and I wanted to get the opinions of others. What is something that you would recommend doing with an evening out? My eldest sister is going to be visiting and she hasn't been home for a while. I'm curious to hear any idea.

There's a fantastic variety of theater available in this city.

That is definitely an option. She does like the theater. I wonder if there any interesting shows right now.

When’s she coming? If it's before they take the rest of the of the lights down you could take her by the Monroe building. Botanical garden’s still got their lights up too, I think.

I usually do afternoon tea at the Atrium with out-of-towners but I don't know if she’d be that impressed if she's from the city.

A few days. That is a good idea. I'll have to check if the lights are still going to be up when she visits. She might like that. It has been a while since she has been here for that.

She's probably still like afternoon tea. She always did before.

The lights are the best part of that miserable post-Christmas part of winter where the parties are over but everything’s still dead.

I agree. It is always so disappointing when there are no more celebrations. They are there for an entire month and then they are gone.

Well, I guess we can't have parties like those all the time.

As fun as that would be, it would get expensive pretty quick.

It would. Just buying food for a party and possibly hiring someone to cook would add up quickly.

Not to mention the entertainment! Some of the parties before Christmas this year had live music.

That sounds nice. But definitely that would add up too.

I guess you could have the last musician who got paid throw the next party. Just circulate the same money around forever.

Huh... that is an interesting idea. I wonder how long that could be kept up before someone broke the cycle.

You might be able to keep it going! Everyone’s invested in the party season and knows who has the money.

That is true. Maybe they don't have to be big parties, but something to break up the monotony.

That's a good word for it. It should be illegal to get dark before 5 p.m.

I agree! I prefer the summer more. The cold is just too much.

I grew up in Australia and then served in Egypt for four years, so I was not used to these winters when I moved here! I still like to get away to somewhere warmer when I can.

I’m not sure what my excuse is. I don’t think I have lived anywhere, but here so I should be used to it. Maybe it is family heritage or something.

I don't really get sick with the weather. I just don't like it. I'd much rather it be summer than winter.

Agreed. I don't exactly love sweating either, but I’d rather be too hot than too cold.

That is true. I don't like being too hot, but hot is more preferable than cold.

The heat’s not so bad here by the water. At least we’ve usually got a breeze.

That's good. I do like going towards the water in the summer. The city is always hotter.

Things can get a little dicey down by the docks but you can't beat the view.
