Good evening. I had a question and I wanted to get the opinions of others. What is something that you would recommend doing with an evening out? My eldest sister is going to be visiting and she hasn't been home for a while. I'm curious to hear any idea.

Agreed. I don't exactly love sweating either, but I’d rather be too hot than too cold.

That is true. I don't like being too hot, but hot is more preferable than cold.

The heat’s not so bad here by the water. At least we’ve usually got a breeze.

That's good. I do like going towards the water in the summer. The city is always hotter.

Things can get a little dicey down by the docks but you can't beat the view.

It can, that is true. I heard about it, but I've never had any trouble there .

Oh, I've never had trouble there that I couldn't get out of, but one time a gull stole a whole sandwich right out of my hand.

They are very mean and opportunistic like that.

You'd think I would know better than to let my guard down around birds after living in Australia, but that one got me.

Oh? Were the birds particularly vicious in Australia?

There is a specific season where everyone just accepts that they're going to be attacked by magpies.

Well... that sounds dangerous.

Oh, it is. If you're trying to get anywhere on a bicycle, you can just forget about it!

I will remember that if I find myself in Australia at that time.

It's when they're raising their babies so maybe they're a little more reasonable than the seagulls. At least you've got some warning.

Well, that at least makes sense. They are just trying to make sure the babies survive.

When I was a girl, my dad told me they get angry when you're on a bicycle because they think you're some sort of creature, and I guess that makes sense. If some kind of bicycle centaur came near Evelyn I'd probably attack it too.

A bicycle centaur. That's pretty funny to picture. But I guess from the point of view of an animal that must be what we look like.

My skinned knees and I weren't really having it back then but I kind of get it now.

Yeah, it's usually more amusing after the fact. I know I've done some things where it wasn't funny at the time, but it is now.

Yeah, a lot of things are funnier once you know for sure things turned out okay.

Yeah, that is true. I know there have been times where my sisters were upset with me and then a bit later, they thought it was funny.

I bet. The tree climbing?

Yes, very much. A few others as well, but definitely that one.

I should feel bad for them as a person forced to chase a kid up trees all the time now, but it is pretty funny.
