[ It certainly wasn't white, soft like feathers, and comforting like being wrapped in an angel's wing or anything! ]
Do you remember what you dream?
no subject
[Unfortunately the ones that don't make him sound completely crazy have elements that might be considered treason, so he isn't comfortable talking about them at all. Not even aloud and face to face.]
there's a temp pull on the west side with a stone thing
lots of snake heads
it was in my last dream
not important like you said
no subject
[ Crowley might not have understood what the stone thing on the west side with a bunch of snake heads was. ]
Anyway I don't see what's so important about remembering them, do you?
no subject
[He's not well versed in those myths. Otherwise he might have correctly identified a hydra instead of a naga in the Buddhist temple, which is the closest thing he's seen that resembles it. But the thought of going to the library and hunting down some book to find out more when he can't even get through Winnie the Pooh gives him sphincter cramps.]
snakes only have one head and its just a dream
doesnt mean any thing
if its important you will remember it
other wise they send you letters or thugs with fists and guns to remind you
no subject
[ Crowley wasn't exactly a library guy himself but they were big on learning the classics back at the home he had spent part of his time growing up in. ]
Must be a common theme in dreams, snakes. Maybe that's why there are so many stories about them.
Anyway I don't think anyone will be sending out any goons to shake us down about a silly dream. It's not like they are real or anything.
no subject
if she has snakes for hair everyone would look
[He doesn't even know where to begin deconstructing Crowley's hot chick fantasy, so he's not going to go there.]
no they will just lock you in a room with a
sykiatrstarmy doctor and elect tro cute you until you lose all feeling in yore legs and choke on yore own droolno subject
There's a charming picture. Are you speaking from experience?
no subject
no
why dont you tell them you dont now whats real any more and see what theyll do to you for yourself
no subject
I was never in the army. They would just shrug their shoulders and tell me not to drink so much.
no subject
Neither of those are the appropriate responses to hot stone chick.]
you got out of serving?
no subject
I was too old for the draft when it first began and by the time they got around to the the Third Registration the war ended.
[ Luck of the devil! ]
I would have dodged though if I had needed to, just run off some where. Nasty things wars.
no subject
[That was a compliment, by the way.]
it was the only thing i was good at
no subject
[ It was flattering enough to smirk at the text but the next line was sobering enough to snap him back out of that. ]
Where did they send you?
[ Given the way it had been written the Homefront seemed unlikely but maybe he had avoided the trenches. ]
no subject
not hideing any snakes under there are you ?
[Imagine just sitting around having a drink or three and then suddenly this lunging snake attack.]
a bit of France and Germany but spent 4 years in Constantinople
you didnt miss much
[Don't hold your breath, he can only spell that one because he's seen it so many times.]
couldnt wait to leave
and then i came back
and all i wanted was to go back there and justwasnt so good here after all
but are you really 50 ?
no subject
[ He did have a snake tattoo near his ear on one cheek but there was very little chance of it slithering out from under any hair and spooking anyone during drinks. ]
You never hear much about Constantinople. Was it as badly torn up?
I mean... you could always reenlist. I'm not sure its much better over there trying to rebuild everything.
[ France and Germany had gotten the lion's share of the news coverage. Every time you picked up a paper those nations were splashed all over the headlines with bombed out buildings or war images from the front lines. Crowley had missed a great deal but he felt better off from having done so. ]
Fifty! I haven't cracked fifty yet. I'm forty-eight.
[ Those two years mattered! Though he supposed as they had just been through a New Years that he would be forty-nine whenever his birthday came up. Whenever that was... April something. ]
no subject
not like the first year
they wont take me back now
wow yore all most 50
[He would have said 'congratulations' but that word's too hard so Crowley has to settle for a much bigger, much better equivalent:]
thats grate
no subject
Nah, maybe not. Not with all that history. It was supposed to be the War to End All Wars anyway...
[ Not that Crowley believed that! As long as their were humans then there would be wars. ]
Is it great?
no subject
i think so if yore happy
are you happy ?
no subject
Yea, course I'm happy. Why wouldn't I be? I've got everything going on.
no subject
maybe if you meet the woman of your dreams you should use a blind fold
no subject
[ Those might shield him from any lady's stoney glare? ]
Besides I'm not really the meet a girl and settle down type.
no subject
what type are you?
no subject
[ Golden colored eyes with odd looking pupils did get one too many strange looks. People just didn't understand anyone who was different and he wasn't looking to join a sideshow. ]
I'm the type that doesn't get attached to anyone. It's better that way.
no subject
never wanted chill drun?
no subject
[ Not that they weren't fun, sometimes, when they were playing... But what kids needed was a father not a whatever he would be. ]
If I wanted one I could just go outside and grab one with all those street kids out there. You? You're the one you managed the whole marriage thing.
